I formed these fish out of DAS and then painted them. They can be hung on the wall and are very decorative. Some say the symbol of fish may hold certain good meanings such as fertility, good luck, creativity, happiness and knowledge among others. I hope you enjoy them.

סיפור על ילדה יהודיה שנסעה ברכבת עם אמא שלה. במהלך הנסיעה האם והבת אולצו להיפרד מאחר והאם הייתה חולה מאוד.הילדה נשלחה לבית יתומים עם כל הילדים הבודדים שהותירה המלחמה מאחור והאם נשלחה לבית חולים. כעבור חודשים רבים,החלה האם לחפש את בתה כשבידה השמלה האהובה על בתה הקטנה. האם עברה ממקום למקום שבו שהו ילדים וישבה על ספסל כשעל ברכיה השמלה, אולי תזהה את שמלתה ותשוב אליה, האם ידעה שהיא עצמה כבר לא נראית כפי שהייתה. באחד הגנים זיהתה הילדה את השמלה ונגשה לאישה שאחזה בה וכך אוחדו השתיים

לאיור בחרתי טכניקה של איור שטוח ובגוונים של שחור ולבן בלבד כדי להעצים את התקופה ואת הסיפור,  

This story is based on a true tale of a little Jewish girl during WWII.  During a train ride, the little girl’s mother became very ill, and the two were separated. The little girl was sent to an orphanage, along with other children that were left alone during the war.  Her mother was taken to a hospital.  Many months passed before the mother was finally released from the hospital, and went in search of her daughter.  After her lengthy illness, the mother no longer looked the same, and she was afraid her daughter would not recognize her.  As she travelled from playground to playground, she would sit on a bench with her little girl’s special dress on her lap – hoping that her daughter would recognize the dress, and in that way find her way back to her mother. In actual fact, eventually the girl recognized the dress and the mother and daughter were united.
